Have you eaten today?
Yes, some of us are probably starving ourselves out of choice but there are some people out there who have not eaten because they simply do not have enough to put food on the table.

What is Foodbank?
Thank you for visiting www.foodbank.sg.
Probably the first question on your mind right now is "What is a Food Bank?".
To make it really simple, a Food Bank is a place where companies or people can come to deposit / donate their unused or unwanted foods which will then be collected and allocated to the Needy via channels such as VWOs, charities and soup kitchens

October
Feeding Month

In celebration of World Food Day, 16th October, the Food Bank Singapore (FBSG) is launching a
month-long campaign to highlight food wastage and hunger issues.

The 3-part campaign comprises of a month-long food drive aimed at collecting 50,000kg of
non-perishable food donations, several Fresh Food Truck activities to salvage fresh produce and a
target of 5000 food bundles to be distributed to low-income households.

Here’s how you can be a part of FBSG’s
October Feeding Month:

Gather your friends, team and department to take part in our Fresh Food Truck Project, where we
collect 'ugly' but still good to consume fruits and vegetables from Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre
and distribute them to families and individuals from rental flats.

In conjunction with the October Feeding Month, we are hosting 6 sessions from 22-27 October.

To mark FBSG's October Feeding Month, we aim to collect
50,000kg of non-perishable food
donations for our 270 beneficiary organisations.

Individuals can deposit any unexpired and unopened non-perishable food items that have at least
4 weeks of
shelf life into various Bank Boxes around Singapore. Organisations can host a food drive in
their premises to
collect donated food items, or adopt a Bank Box to encourage a steady flow
of donations.

Ground Zero Run – 13 August 2017

2017 marks the 2nd year of collaboration between The Food Bank Singapore and Mercy Relief.

Held in observance of World Humanitarian Day, Mercy Relief’s Ground Zero Run challenges participants with the simulated experience of a survivor’s journey from ground zero – the disaster site – to collect urgent supplies needed in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. Participants will take on a similar challenge as they carry a relief pack weighing 5-7kg.

Join us as we raise awareness for humanitarian relief efforts within the region, while benefiting families in Singapore. Pledge a $15 Ground Zero Bundle to support a family, of which $5 goes towards supporting Mercy Relief’s efforts.

Last year over 500 relief packs were distributed locally, help us increase this number and pledge yours today by clicking below!
