The Food Bank Singapore was started with a vision to achieve food security in Singapore byÂ
redistributing surplus food to those in need while championing food sustainability.Â
We collect donated food and food surpluses from various sources and redistribute them to those in need through a network of food beneficiary partners. We also procure when there is a shortfall in the amount of food donations to meet the needs of the communities.
We support food beneficiary partners comprising family service centres, homes, soup kitchens,
voluntary welfare organisations, religious establishments, and schools serving children from low-income families.
We conduct numerous programs throughout the year and implement various initiatives to
improve food security. Discover how you can get involved and contribute to making Singapore a food-secure nation.
Working to achieve food security in Singapore since 2012
At The Food Bank Singapore, we run several programmes to serve our mission to collect food surpluses and redistribute to beneficiaries while advocating for food sustainability through reducing food waste. Some of our key programmes include Joy In Every Bundle, “Bank Card Programme, Food Drive, Food Bank Boxes, and more.
The Food Pantry 2.0 has evolved to provide flexible food aid, allowing beneficiaries to redeem food at their convenience. With 24/7 access through automated vending machines, this innovative platform ensures that those in need can get nutritious food whenever they require it, breaking the limitations of traditional food distribution programs.
